Cute as a Button!

Hi all! I hope you are all having a fabulous day. Most of my day was spent cleaning but I just had to get in my craft room when this little idea popped in my head..."make your own buttons!"

I Brake For Stamps has some of the cutest stamps so why not feature them on a button! I just love the Miss Rachel stamps, so to create this button I used Miss Rachel in the Garden. Remember to use coupon code SAVE10REGAN at checkout and save 10% off your order!

I created these buttons using Shrinky dinks, circles #2 sizzix die, my BigKick, Big Bite, Stamp, StazOn Ink, some BIC permanent markers and a heat gun.

I just love this idea! There are so many possibilities and what better way to match your project than to make your own embellishments!

After I created these I of course had to make something for them to go on, so I made a cute little gift bag that I cut out of kraft card stock on my Cricut using the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge. I added some ricrac trip, a crocheted flower for my button to be attached to and a Round Metal Edge Grungy Prim Tag from KraftOutlet. Oh.. and we can't forget the jelly beans! :)

I am submitting this project for
Challenge #8 at The Kraft Journal
Handmade Element Challenge at SomeOddGirl Blog

Thanks for stopping by!

Well, I can't help being partial.. I LOVE the crochet-backed button! My first love is crochet, so I LOVE to combine both crafts whenever I can!... Miss Rachel.. Is that the name of this sweet little bunny? I'm going to have to look her up! Have a great weekend! ~tina
