I survived! (and art journaling)

Well, I survived our first week of homeschool for the year!

It was a little messy and not as organized as I had hoped. When we began the week, I still hadn't received my printer, which meant that we could only do certain subjects for half the week until our printer came. After that, we had to cram in everything that needed printing at the end of the week. As unorganized as it was, I still did it! I know I shouldn't be that surprised, since I homeschooled last year, but I am celebrating my victory!

I spent a little time this morning prepping the printing for next week and I am confident that next week will be even better! Next, I need to address some storage issues or the lack there of.

I have been thinking of scrapbooking a lot! I REALLY want to work on my project life from our time in Korea and finish it. I also want to try my hand at a mini album. It has been quite some time since I have made a mini! Time hasn't allowed for it recently but I am hoping I will get a couple hours to myself this weekend.

The girls and I did sit down a couple of weeks ago and do some art journaling!! It was messy but super fun, and the girls did a fantastic job! We used scrapbook paper, tissue paper, ephemra, diecuts, paint, stencils, rub-ons, ultra thick embossing powder, embossing powder, and mist.

I am such a proud mommy!

Well hopefully I will get some crafty stuff done so that I can get it up on my blog, and maybe YouTube as well. I'm sure you are tired of reading about my day to day! ;)

Until next time,

Key Chains and a Mini Album

 Hi there!

Today I have some projects to share with you. The first is a set of keychains I created for the September Baubles, Bangles and Beads swap that I host over at YourPaperPantry.

Here are some photos of those keychains.

I also created a mini album for my sister for her birthday. I was inspired by Heather at StayBeautiful84 and Mari at mnc512.

I have made several scrapbook layouts but haven't had the chance to photograph or make a video of them yet. Hopefully I will be able to do that soon.

Thank you for stopping by!

Family - Mixed Media Painting

This is mixed media painting number 5! I am having so much fun with these paintings! It is somewhat therapeutic! I started this one not knowing what I was going to do for sure but a family is what came out of this painting session!

I am sure you are wondering why they don't have faces! To be honest... I tried to draw the baby's face and it looked a little weird and maybe even a little scary so, none of them received faces!!

Please leave a comment and let me know what you think!

Mixed Media Painting -- Building Confidence

Hi! Today I am not feeling very confident in my work as a crafter. With so many amazingly talented crafters out there, it can sometimes feel like you are just one in the crowd. With those feelings, trying to work on my Design Team projects became overwhelming so I decided to paint. I did finish my DT project afterwards and I love it! :) Come back wednesday to chech that out.

Anywho... back to the painting.
The funny thing is that with my confidence level low I think I created my best painting yet... granted it is only my fourth one! LOL

Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think!

More Mixed Media Fun!!

Hi again! I know.. my second post today! :) I had such a blast making the first mixed media piece (see blog post below) that I set down and did two more!! These are so much fun, I hope you will give them a try!

I did the collage technique on this one as well.
I am thinking about adding a Banner and/or a "title" that says celebrate today to this cutie!

This one is just on a single piece of patterned paper.
I think she looks pretty good.

A big thank you to Mystele for encouraging me! :)

Thank you so much for stopping by!
