Card & Gift in One - Papercraft Star

The 53rd challenge at Papercraft Star begins today! It's a sketch challenge for us this week, with a wonderful sketch by Liz Chidester.

This sketch is so great and when I saw it, I knew just what I wanted to do. I made a card and gift in one.

A card and hair clips! Such a fun idea for the girls in your life.

Well we made it through the mad rush of holidays!! I hope all of you had a Merry Christmas and a fun and safe New Year!

I just wanted to share with you a couple of things! While I was back home visiting my Grandma gave me her sewing machine. I told her that before I took it I wanted a sewing lesson! We went shopping and bought some patterns, fabric and buttons and got to it! I ended up sewing two floor pillows for my daughters and a dress for my oldest daughter!

Here is my very first dress!

I also wanted to share with you something that I made today. As most of you with little girls know, the crocheted head bands with the big bows and flowers are super popular! I know how to crochet so as soon as I find some of that elastic yarn I will be making some, but today my quest was to learn how to make hair bows! After watching a few youtube videos - I made one!
