Friendship - Scrapping Everyday Miracles

Hi! Today is Challenge 6 over at Scrapping Everyday Miracles. The topic for the challenge this week is Friendship that goes the distance.


It is in our friendships that we often find so many miracles and blessings.  We all have people in our lives who come and go, but there are those who stay close no matter what happens.  Create a page focusing on the blessing of a friendship that has gone the distance.  It can be a friend you've known since high school, or someone you've worked with, a neighbor you’ve known for years, or a friend you've met online!  Someone who has been there for you through thick and thin.  Share what makes the friendship so special that you're thankful to God for bringing them into your life.

Scrap Twist:  use a layered title and add something thick and something thin on the layout.

I am lucky enough to have a couple of wonderful best friends. I am very blessed to have both in my life. I decided to focus on the friend I have known for the longest. We have been friends for 20 years, so I wanted to create a layout dedicated to our friendship.

As SEM's August Guest Designer I was able to use some sponsor product from Tattered Inspirations! I loved playing with the beautiful kit I was sent from them. The crochet lace & doily, stick pin, buttons and book page are all from the kit I received. I even used the ribbon that the kit was tied with! I made the satin lollipop flower for this layout.

I cut the title out on my neglected Cricut using the Paisley cartridge and I did some hidden journaling on a vintage index card I received in a ephemera kit from Yolanda!

I had a fun time creating this layout and it was nice to honor such a wonderful friendship!

World's Greatest Dad - Papercraft Star

I am so excited to share the super fun challenge we have for you this week at Papercraft Star!! I had such a fun time with this challenge and I know you will too!

Create a project using the letters "S", "T", "A", "R" as inspiration for your project. (i.e. "S" for sentiment, "R" for ribbon, etc.,)

Father's Day is right around the corner, this Sunday, so I thought it would be fun to create an award to honor the men in our life.

My letter inspiration is as follows...

S - Stamp & Stripes

T - Tim Holtz (of course!)

A - Adhesive

R - Ribbon

I used the Happy Father's Day set from TradeFish Designs to stamp my sentiment. The stamp also has Grandpa, Granddad, Grandfather and Pop.

This could be used as a pin, magnet, gift topper or an embellishment! So many options and you can get as elaborate or as simple as you'd like! I had so much fun creating this and I plan on creating more for all sorts of occasions!

Spring Banner - Papercraft Star Challenge 41

Spring is in full bloom at Papercraft Star with the opening of Challenge 41!

This week your challenge is to create an Easter inspired project using one or more of these colors.

Easter makes me think of blooming flowers, beautiful butterflies and fresh Spring air, so I decided to bring Spring inside and create a Banner for my mantel.

I cut out the banner shape using my Cricut and the Stand and Salute Cartridge and the letters using the Cuttin' Up Cartridge. To frame out the letters I used the Frames Stamp Combo Sizzix die. This also allowed for me to add more color!

What says Spring better than Prima and Glimmer Mist, so you know I had to add them to my banner! To hang the banner, I added tulle to give it a softness and added some butterfly clips!

Say What? Mini Album Reject

I know.... my second post today!! I'm on a roll! :)
Today I have a mini album to share with you. I originally made this album with the intent on submitting it to Cricut magazine but it didn't fit into any of the themes, so instead I submitted it to a different one. Unfortunately it wasn't chosen but no fear I will just keep trying. The good news is, now I don't have to keep it from you anymore!! I think the album is cute and it's such a fun way to keep track of those funny things our kiddos say!

I cut the shape of this album out using my Cricut along with the heart page, flower tags, and blurb card. You can find a complete supply list along with the cuts I made below.
