Lucky In Life - Papercraft Star & I Brake For Stamps

I am so excited to share my layout with you this week! It is my design team project for both Papercraft Star and I Brake For Stamps!! I combined Papercraft Star's challenge with the great stamps from IBFS!

The challenge at Papercraft star this week is to create a St. Patrick's Day inspired project using this photograph as your inspiration.

Photograph From Amy Atlas Events

I have to say that my layout is a far cry from the photo but I did pull the green colors out of the photograph. As far as the St. Patrick's Day theme, I titled my project Lucky In Life.

I used the Numbers Background and Ruler Stamps from I Brake For Stamps to add interest to my background. For some reason when I think of Luck, I think of numbers, I guess because some people have a lucky number. The ruler goes out to 8 "inches" but I cut it off at 6 and added the button so that the ruler only showed 1 - 4 since we are a family of 4.

I also played with a little acrylic paint on the background of my layout for interest and a grungy look. I did my journaling around the perimeter of the page, and you know I had to add one of my crocheted flowers!!

I just love the way this layout came out!!

Oh my gosh Regan, I LOVE this picture of your family! What a great shot! You created a beautiful layout to showcase it too. The ruler idea is wonderful and of course you know I love your crocheted flowers. Awesome job and I'm so glad you entered it in the challenge this week at The Kraft Journal!

I was so impressed with this when it popped up on the DT blog, and I was really excited to have it in our PCS reveal this week. Not only is it lovely, but it sure tells us a whole story about you and your family. Brought little wee tears into my eyes. I know people often say thanks for sharing, but that really comes from my heart today - the best kind of project is one that makes people feel a connection !
