Thursday Tutorial for Papercraft Star - Journaling Cards with scraps

Hi there! Today I have a fun tutorial to share with you for Papercraft Star! I was inspired to create these from the Question of the Day forum on the Papercraft Star Message boards. Yep, that's right! I was saying that I rarely buy journal cards and then it hit me... why not make your own! Better than that, make your own using scraps!!!

Here is what you will need:

Paper scraps, adhesive, glue dots, scissors and embellishments of your choice.

Cut the base of the journal card at 3 1/4 X 4 inches and the mat at 3 X 3 3/4 inches. Choose another scrap that you have die cut or die cut a piece of scrap paper.

Next, adhere your layers.

Trim off excess.

Last but not least, Embellish your journal card!
I chose to use this flower that I pulled off of a card I received.

Here is the completed journal card! Use these on layouts, in mini albums or attach to the front of a card!

The possibilities are endless for these cards! Another perk, you can customize the colors for your project! Here are some fun variations!!

You can find the video tutorial HERE.

I hope that you will join us over at Papercraft Star. Be sure to submit your work for this week's challenge, we would love to see your gorgeous projects!

I would love to hear from you, please leave a comment and let me know what you think!
Thank you so much for stopping by!
