Theme: Summer Beaches
I have to admit that at first this challenge was giving me all sorts of trouble! Although I know that the color in the photo is pink, all I could think about when I looked at the inspiration photo was Fourth of July and that didn't go with the theme! So I went through my stash and found some pattern papers I liked that I thought went well with the photo and grabbed a picture of Marilyn Monroe on the beach that I had printed from the Internet and got to creating.
Here is what I came up with....
To imitate the banner in the photo I cut and adhered white pattern paper flags to card. I did some stitching using my sewing machine and added some vintage buttons for added interest.
It's funny how I found the challenge difficult at first but in the end came out with a card I am totally happy with!
I hope you will share your projects for this challenge with us! Post your entries over at Papercraft Star by 6:00 AM EST Monday July 25th. I look forward to seeing what you come up with!
Thank you for stopping by!

Very retro, the softened colors are perfect. !!
What a gorgeous card!
Regan, this card is total summer fun! My favorite pieces are the postage stamp frame and the banner pieces under the trim. This is one of my favorite creations of yours! I just adore it!
