Papercraft Star - Challenge #12

Need a little photo inspiration? Well click over to Papercraft Star and take part in this weeks challenge!

You can post your entry for this challenge today through Noon EST on Saturday September 11th. Voting will begin Saturday and you will have until Tuesday September 14th to cast your votes for you favorite project! Who knows, may you will be the next Papercraft Star!!

I used the colors from the photo as my inspiration for my 12X12 layout of my husband's grandparents.

After I pieced the layout together I thought that it looked like a quilt, so I busted out the sewing machine and did some stitching along the edges of each piece.

Then for a fun added touch, I added some buttons and a crazy quilt raffle ticket.

I hope you will join in the fun over at Papercraft Star!

Supplies:
Paper: Blue Bayou card stock by Stampin' Up!
Patterned Paper: Blue stripes and tan with brown hearts from Handmade Specialty Paper by K&Company, Yellow floral from Everafter collection by Cosmo Cricket and dark blue patterned paper from Tim Coffey's Blossomwood collection mat stack
Stamps: Manuscript Background Stamp by Hero Arts
Ink: Close to Cocoa by Stampin' Up!
Tools: Sewing Machine threaded with white thread
Other: buttons, thread, crazy quilt raffle ticket by K&Company Handmade Ephemera pack
