Rainbow Connection - Papercraft Star Challenge 35

Good morning crafters! We have a fun challenge for you at Papercraft Star this week!

Songs, Movies or Books Inspiration
Create a project using a song title, book or movie as your inspiration.
For example, use the title, the story/lyrics or a character as your inspiration to create whatever papercraft project your heart desires! Fun right?

So my project needs a little back story... My husband and I sing to our girls often and one of the songs we sing to them is Rainbow Connection. You may recognize this song from the one and only Kermit the frog! :) This song was made even more special when my husband deployed. He recorded himself singing Rainbow Connection for the girls to listen to before they went to sleep! I know... awwww..!! The girls wore out the tape in about 2 weeks! :)

For my layout, I used a photo of the four of us the day he left for his deployment along with the song lyrics and all the colors in the rainbow!

I just love the fun banner at the top! To create the banner, I used a 1 3/4 inch circle punch and some black and white baker's twine.

...and now for a little hidden journaling!

You can find a full list of supplies at the bottom of this post!

The Design Team sponsor for this month is........

You have from today until 9:00 pm EST on Sunday to post your entries for this challenge, and then voting will begin and run through 6:00 am EST on Tuesday!! I look forward to seeing your projects! Also, remember to stop by the Papercraft Star message boards and say hello! :)

I agree with C - your girls will take that song with them into their futures. I remember hearing that song when my daughter was just a bitty girl, and she cried it was so beautiful. Wonderful choice for your inspiration, and wonderful adaptation to the layout !!
